How-to and Game Review Updates - 12/16/2010

I've added two How-To articles to the site today - Cleaning Dirty Cartridges and Replacing 72-pin Connetor. If you have an old NES at home that doesn't really work too well anymore, between those two articles you should be fixed right up! I've also added a few game reviews for three of my favorite NES games (with many more to follow) - Contra, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, and Wizards and Warriors. If you haven't played all of these I would highly recommend hitting up eBay or visiting your local retro games store and picking them up, checking for their availability on Wii Ware, or even snagging the ROM images from the 'net to give them a go.

Welcome to the Site! - 12/15/2010

Welcome to AllNES.com. This site is an experimental pilot project that I've been thinking about doing for quite a while, but am just now getting around to it.

This site will be a shrine for all things NES. There were a lot of good NES fan sites out there on the 'net, and I'm sad to see a bunch of them shutting down due to the authors not having time to keep them up anymore. A lot of sites are filled with dead links and old information, so aside from sites like Wikipedia, there are really no good sources of old NES information. Existing information is scattered around and sometimes hard to find, so this site aims to bring all of that information to one place where it's easily accessible by everyone.

Bear with me during the construction of this site. I do have a full time job, as well as a family, but I'll try to get as much information up as fast as possible.
